Vendulka Burger Budilová is an unceasing geyser of ideas

The initiator (and dramaturg of the first years) of the now iconic new circus festival Letní Letná, she has also given rise to many other multi-genre events and festivals.

From MeziSvěty (2008, Vratislavice nad Nisou) to Festival na ROHU (2017-2018, Křinec) to Múzy na Valech aka tržiště umění (2021-2024, Nymburk). She has also been invited as a dramaturg to revive already traditional festivals, such as Nymburkské posvívení s jarmarkem (2018-2020) or Smetanovy Jabkenice (2021-2025).

Students of the Budil Theatre School welcome the opportunity to try out what they have learned at these events in front of an audience that prefers various genres (in addition to the aforementioned events, also at the events Lodě na Labi (2017, Nymburk) or Světlohraní of the Jablonec festival BEZMEZER (Jablonec nad Nisou, 2016, 2018)

2023-2025 Smetanovy Jabkenice

(Smetana´s Jabkenice)

Vendulka Burger Budilová, dramaturgically, and Spolek Budil as co-organizer are helping to revive the centennial Smetanovy Jabkenice festival in honor of the Czech national composer.

The composer's handicap did not prevent the genius from creating music, and it led Vendulka Burger Budilová to the idea of artistic interpretation of part of the program into Czech sign language - now a traditional and unique part of the music festival for both hearing and deaf people.

2021-2024 Múzy na Valech aneb tržiště umění

(Muses on the Vals or the art marketplace)

circus and poetry / theater and fire show / fairy tales for children and spicy cabaret / slam poetry and music of all genres / good coffee and beer / jewelry stalls and live interaction

The art marketplace as a principle – a space for self-promotion for well-known and unknown artists – was brought by Vendulka Burger from her many years of work around the world.

And artists and spectators are satisfied:
"I enjoy events where boundaries are blurred. No sterile environment, but a lively mix of music, theater and people who love culture."

2017-2018 Festival na ROHU

(On the CORNER Festival))

Two years of the original multi-genre retro Festival na ROHU (with the subtitle Co je české, to je dobré - What's Czech is good) revived the Křinec chateau, in whose grounds the festival took place.

The abundance of spectators from the town of Křinec and the wider area contributed with their entrance fees to the next part of the necessary repairs of the chateau.
