Hana Strejčková

Author, dramaturge and director, performer, puppet player, teacher.

She graduated from the Ecole Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq in Paris, and was furthermore awarded the scenography diploma in the Laboratoire d´Etudes du Mouvement. In 2002 she graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, completing the study program dramaturgy and director at the Department of Dramatic Play. She co-founded the Czech-French Theatre on the Raft, took part in a training program at the Teatro Punto in Amsterdam as well as many other internships and workshops. She had been living for a significant time in Russia, France and Great Britain. Since 2010, she has also been teaching at the Budil Theatre School and is leading workshops both in the Czech Republic and abroad. In her creations, she mainly focuses on the theatre of movement and on dance theatre, authorial theatre of objects, on performances and on working with specific groups such as seniors and children from children´s home institutions.
